On November 10-12 this year, Astana (Kazakhstan) hosted the XIV International congress of the KARM named as “A modern approach infertility treatment. Assisted reproductive techniques: Present and future”.

The Congress traditionally brought together leading Kazakhstani and world experts to discuss important issues of infertility and reproductive health, problems of access to assisted reproductive technologies (ART), including in vitro fertilization (IVF), and also provided an opportunity for domestic and foreign participants to make presentations.

The Congress was organized by the Kazakhstan Association of Reproductive Medicine, with the support of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Medical University of Astana.

The congress was attended by officials of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kazakhstan Association of Reproductive Medicine, representatives of the country's leading medical organizations and specialists from near and far abroad.

During the work, the congress participants were able to discuss in detail the achievements of reproductive medicine today, the prospects for the development of this area and mutually beneficial cooperation between the congress participants in the future. Also, the participants were given the opportunity to talk about their experience, work done over the past period and develop new methods and approaches in the treatment of infertility.

As delegates from the State Institution "RSSPMCOG" the Congress was attended by Akhmedova Shirin Abdullayevna – Ph.D. in Medicine, obstetrician-gynecologist; Atajanova Nargiza Pulatovna – obstetrician-gynecologist of the polyclinic and Shomirov Dilshod Abduhamidovich – obstetrician-gynecologist, surgeon.

As part of the congress, master classes were held on the most pressing issues of embryology in ART, obstetrics and gynecology with the participation of specialists from Kazakhstan, Israel, Portugal, Italy, Russia, Belarus, Japan, Georgia and India.

All participants of the congress were able to get comprehensive answers to all their questions.
