Nowadays, strengthening of material and technical basis, introduction of innovative technologies and achievements of technological progress, and providing medical institutions with modern equipment meeting the world standards is not only a priority task, but also plays important role in enhancing efficiency of practical activity and positively influences the quality of medical services rendered to the population. Modern technologies in medicine today make it possible to solve a lot of tasks that are impossible to perform through the use of only acquired "manual skills".
It is also noteworthy that the leadership of our country pays special attention to the use, as well as equipping with quality modern medical equipment of medical institutions, even in the most remote corners of the country. At the same time, great importance is attached to international cooperation in consulting, training and monitoring this aspect of activity together with specialized foreign organizations and their representative offices in the Republic of Uzbekistan.
Thus, the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ) representative office in Uzbekistan, as part of the operational plan of its project "Management of advanced medical technologies in Uzbekistan", in particular, component №3 "Management of medical technologies in healthcare" implemented by the German company GOPA, has conducted a planned annual visit to pilot medical institutions to obtain data on the use of medical equipment.
This monitoring visit was combined with the visit of Dr. Ann-Christine Hanser, an expert on medical technology management, who also visited the Samarkand Regional Perinatal Center - a branch of the Republican Specialized Scientific-Practical Medical Center of Obstetrics and Gynecology. During the visit a practical seminar was held with the participation of specialists from the branch center for the maintenance of medical equipment, the potential use of the equipment on the balance, and practical recommendations were given and a new methodological manual on working with medical equipment was presented. The seminar was held in the format of live communication and discussion of planned objectives. At the end of the event all participants received comprehensive answers to their questions.
